Check out Sisterhood of Scrap for some amazing challenges and a chance to wim a "Studio Calico" kit for this month! Here is my l/o for this week's challenge! It is a l/o of me at 3 with my family at Christmas dinner!
This l/o was createdc for the SOS Monday, November 9th Challenge! It was based on Susan's layout. My ds studying for exams means he has to have his cell phone front and center for all to go well!
This sketch was our challenge for the DT at S-CY! Check out the other wonderful talented l/o's made for this. This l/o is of my ds, happy as ever at 18 1/2!
Check out Scrap Scene for an announcement for the DT I am on at Sketches: Creativitly Yours! Wow.... I am a celebrity!!! Check it out here! http://www.scrapscene.com
Hi everyone... Deanne over at "Create It Green" has a DT call out for those of us scrappers who like to re-cycle, re-use or re-duce! Here is what I submitted for this:
This card was recycled from a cardboard box lid, and the wide twill was from the wrapping of a box of BR stuff I had received....
I cannot believe it has been a week since I posted anything! Yikes!! Stay tuned for some uploads this weekend! It is definitly time I get into my scrappy place and get creative! I hope everyone has a great weekend and stay tuned!
Wahoo!!! I am so excited! I made the design team for Sketches: Creatively Yours! Check out Ali's site here! http://creativelyyourssketches.blogspot.com/ What a great group of talented ladies on the design team, you should stop by and check them out, as well as Ali's challenges!
This is a l/o I created for the "All About Me" challenge #3.... it talks about having lost my identity as a person now that I am a Mom! One day I will find her!
This l/o was created for Soup Saturday at SOS. We were to use yellow, striped pp, and brown ink. This l/o is of my youngest when he was 4! He is 15 now! He was our "Bat Boy" for our baseball team I coached when we lived in Cairo. He was such a character then and he is now!
This card was made for the "Soup Saturday" Challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap. It was a recipe for Grandma's Pea Soup. This is what I came up with. Check out their site to see what I needed for this.
This month at Inspired Blueprints, they have 2 awesome sketch l/o's.
Here is my take on sketch #40. It is of my ds posing for his photo shoot he did with his pal! I used mostly Sassafras Lass pp and sticker alphas for this l/o.
I must admit I have been neglecting my scrappy side of my life this past week or two! I have been busy trying to get the garden cleaned up for fall! This week.... lots of layouts coming!!!
Today is WCMD and I would like you to check out the card challenges at SOS! Deanne makes awesome cards and has some challenges for us all there! I'll be posting mine laater this weekend!
My layout "Money Tree" won at "a la Carte" for September! Wow!! Francis and Aphra are such reat inspirations and their blog alacartechallenge.blogspot.com is a must see for sure! Thanks Francis and Aphra!
What a hoot this was! Over at My Sketch World, Cheryl hosted a one-hour layout challenge... it was so fun! And stressful!!! I have never done a one hour challenge before, but I sure am next time! (Teri... you couldn't handle this!!)
This is a layout I did for 52 weeks/ 52 sketches! It is of my DH when he was a wee lad. His parents and brother went to the seaside for a holiday! So cute back in the day!
My ds now has 6, yes that's right, 6 bikes lined up in our garage! I guess is is trying to get one to match all his shoes! Notice his t-shirt... the finger is pointing to his latest baby!!
This l/o was created from a challenge at "My Sketch World". It was an ABC challenge and I used everything except Q and A! It was so fun to do, and I must say, I was adorable at 3!!
Well, my baby is off to high school! Not even any tears fromn Mom!! He is so excited to start and has had his attire picked out for 2 weeks.... (Layout later about this...)
Check out the on-line crop at Sisterhoood of Scrap for September 18-20. Lots of cool back to school challenges, and lots of great inspiration from a great groups of sisters! Don't forget to mark your calendars, and check it out! See you then!
Diva's don't always need to be girls... just ask my son!
Over at SOS, this Monday's challenge was to do a l/o inspired by a piece of clothing... Well, my ds did a photo shoot with a buddie, and I love the colors in the photo, so I thought I would scrap this! I made the overlay all by myself... I traced a shape on a transparency, inked the edges with a small flourish stamp, cut it out, and voila!!
Check out this site for some awesome blog cnady and soon to be awesome challenges! basicgreatchallenges.blogsport.com

This was from back in the day, where we were waiting anxiously to open presents! Looking back at this, I hope my 2 sons realize how spoiled rotten they are with the "LOADS" of stuff they get!
Lovin' this one of Stuart being a typical 14 3/4 year old teenager at our soccer pool party!
This week's challenge was for the DT to come up with a l/o inspired by food. I had this awesome photo from Cairo of a cart olding bananas sitting in front of a clay medallion shop, and I couldn't resist!
I love the inspiration I get from the sketches at Inspired Blueprints! They have a new sketch on the 1st and 15th of every month... Here are my 2 for August, the last layouts I need to do for my son's graduation.
It has been a very hectic week at home, and I thought I would have got the chance yesterday or today to catch up on my blog... but.... Stuart has developed some horrible looking hives, and I have been up with him this past 48 hrs! We just came back from ER as the hives were getting worse! He is now on a steroid for the next 5 days, and is sleeping at the moment! I will get to the blog later in the week... I am off for a much needed nap!
What a cool idea I had today after seeing a tutorial by Ingrid on SOS! Making your own pins! I ran out to Michael's a purchased a few things, and made this pin to attach to a l/o I was working on.... Cool or what!
This l/o was submitted at Creative Scrappers weekly sketch challenge thread! Kristine's layout's rock! Here George is trying to teach Stuart how to assemble and put on his bow-tie that he wore for his grade 8 graduation! Brothers are so helpful.
Shopping at the local market in Cairo was a little more than chaotic! It was down-right frightful! But after being there for 5 years, you realize that it is actually organized confusion! Sometimes I miss it, but other times... not!
This l/o was done for the Sisterhood of Scrap Saturday layouts. I love Deanne's sketches at SOS, and this photo of my ds was fun to work with. He is always so colorful in his attire, and this works well with the colors I used!
Oh my gosh.... I have been asked to be on the design team for Sisterhood of Scrap! Yipee!!! What a great group of people at SOS and I am so looking forward to the challenge! I am sooooo excited!! Thanks to all at SOS, and check out their site soon! www.sisterhoodofscrap.com
Lovin' this line "Girl Friday" from Cosmo Cricket! They have a contest on now to win a pack of their product. Check it out, I think it ends the end of the month.
Yes... I know some of you were not born yet!! This l/o was submitted for the August Design Team member contest at "Scrappin Mojo". I was so darn cute back in the day!! LOL!! It has been fun doing l/o's of me younger. As scrappers, we tend to scrapbook about our family and never about us! Take time out to scrap about yourself! Leave a comment with your link to your layout about yourself, and I will randonly draw a name for a RAK on August 5th!
Well.... I have a challenge this next couple of days .... I have 6 layouts to do and want to have them all done by Sunday. I better get some scrappin' mojo or I'll never finish this! DH is going out of town for the next few days, and I am catching up. Stay tuned for some sur-prizes Sunday. (July 19)... Could be a RAK available too!!
This is an amazing site and everone is so friendly! Makes you feel like you really do have sisters that care! Here is the l/o I sent for today! Back soon....
This l/o was done for "Sisterhood of Scrap" Monday Challenge (Awesome site BTW!!). This l/o is one of my ds getting ready for grad. He wore a red shirt, a black bow-tie, his "skinny" jeans, and his favorite kicks! No way was he going to wear a suit. He has his own ideas about what he wants and wearing a suit "just to conform to the norm" (his words) wasn't one of them! It has been a long time since I scrapped without pp and I missed it on this l/o....
Well... it has been one week since I did any scrapbooking or blogging! DH is on holidays and in my space!!! Stay tuned... I have 8 new l/o's I need to get done in the next week! Stay tuned, I promise you won't be dissapointed!
This l/o is of my eldest son.... A friend and him deceided to do a photo shoot of themselves a couple of weeks ago. What characters they are! Needless to say, the clothes are still lying on the floor in my son's room!
Hi All... this l/o won the "un-Holiday Contest" at Crop Addict. We had to do a l/o of a holiday using non-traditional papers. This l/o is of my sister, my eldest brother and I back in the day at Christmas! (Sorry Mike... you were not born yet!)
Hi Everyone! Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog! Hope you enjoy! I am married to a wonderful man who supports my obsession and I am a SAHM to 2 teenage boys who drive me crazy ... but I love them and wouldn't want to change this for the world! I love scrapbooking and being creative! I also love knitting, cross-stitch, and gardening!
